Special Note for Parents

The Children can go home after the last paper each day.

Text Books for 2008 will be given only after the present books are returned, which should be done daily after each paper. Therefore parents should make sure that your son returns the books he already has, to the class teacher, after every paper. (Courtesy, www.inforoyal.com)

SPECIAL NOTE - This time-table was taken from the Official Royal College News and Information portal www.inforoyal.com. There is a possibility that this time-table is ONLY relevant to Royal College as the school already had it's school-based Mathematics, Health and Physical Education and Tamil paper on Tuesday the 27th of this month. If you are from another school, it is recommended that you follow the news regarding all Western Province schools and/or visit your own school's web portal or request information from your school itself.

Schools To Be Re-opened on Monday?

Amid the highly tense situation present in Colombo and it's suburbs, the question as to when schools in the Western Province, which are presently shut down for two days (29th and 30th) temporarily halting the 3rd term examination which was in progress, will re-open has arisen. The news-items announcing the closure of the schools yesterday also stated that the Education Ministry has scheduled the re-opening on Monday, the 3rd of December, next week, but these news-items failed to clarify and confirm the actual date.
Due to the volatile nature of the country's security situation, it is best to observe events as they unfold and not jump to any conclusions. The supposed rumours of the Colombo water supply being contaminated by the terrorists and reports of a number of bombs being found all over Colombo have caused unnecessary panic among the city-dwellers. Therefore, we advise all of you to clarify the source of any information regarding the re-opening of schools.
